Everyone fishing in Alaska is required to have a sport fishing license and needs to be aware of the regulations.

You can view the regulations and get your fishing License online at State of Alaska Fish & Game Web page. Click FISHING LICENSE to purchase and print your license at home.

For additional species information try AK Fish & Game Wildlife Notebook.

If at all possible, please get your FISHING LICENSE before arriving in Whittier. This way we can get on our trip faster. Although we offer licensing on-board The Wildlife, this does still take time out of your charter.

Alaska is a world-renowned sport fishing destination. In fact, in this land of 3,000 rivers, 3 million lakes and 6,640 miles of coastline, a sport angler’s greatest challenge can just be deciding where to go. Adding to this challenge is the reality that Alaska is enormous; fishing it all would require one to cast across a million acres of streams, lakes and water-lapped shorelines every day for a full year. Think of it as the old anglers’ quandary – so many fish, so little time. Fishing in Alaska is the experience of a lifetime. Prince William Sound area fisheries offer a full range of fishing opportunities and experiences. Sport fisheries in Prince William Sound target five species of Pacific Salmon, several species of groundfish (halibut, rockfish and lingcod), shrimp and clams, as well as cutthroat trout and Dolly Varden. These fisheries depend primarily on wild stocks. Let Alaskan 4 Star Charters take you into the prime fishing grounds of Prince William Sound.
